"History Will be Made" returns for 2011. Will it feature another Habs playoff run?

The NHL announced Monday that it's "History Will be Made" campaign will return for the 2010-11 playoffs. The first series of new video clips can be seen on the league's official release, and will begin airing on network television starting March 13.

Last season, Montreal Canadiens legend Patrick Roy was one of the first to be featured with this flash of the leather in the 1986 Stanley Cup Final.

As the playoffs moved on, highlights of the playoff series were added to the award-winning campaign and of course numerous parodies on YouTube.

The ingenious NHL ad wizards, as many in the league, were probably not expecting to see the Canadiens continue into the third round of ads. Jaroslav Halak's heroic goaltending performance in the first round against he Washington Capitals, and Mike Cammalleri's demonstration that he might be a two-sport athlete (well maybe three, he's a damn good golfer) against the Pittsburgh Penguins were extremely popular amongst Habs fans.

The Habs run of course ended there, but who knows what the 2011 playoffs will bring. With the 40th anniversary of the Canadiens surprising Stanlsy Cup win in 1971, a Ken Dryden ad has to be considered

But hmmmm,

"What if, Carey Price didn't tell people to chill-ax?" --- History will be made...
