Hamilton Bulldogs Game Thread: Bulldogs @ Americans

This afternoon, the Hamilton Bulldogs are in Rochester, NY to take on the Americans. The Americans have cooled off as of late, posting an average 5-4-1-0 record over their last 10 games, and lost their last game 2-1 against Binghamton on Saturday night.

TJ Brennan has had a stellar season thus far notching nearly a point per game (12 goals, 17 assists) in 30 games played. He also received the RBK/AHL player of the week honours last week, Many of his points are the result of a strong Amerk’s powerplay, which is 2nd in the league. They also lead the league with 5 short-handed goals.

The Bulldogs are coming into today’s game after losing to Lake Erie on Saturday night. The Bulldogs have lost 6 of their last 7 and the playoff window is quickly closing for the Bulldogs. Brendan Gallagher and Gabriel Dumont both lead the team with 9 goals, 9 assists for 18 points.

In goal, Cedrick Desjardins will be the starter once again. On the season, he has a record of 5-8-0-2 with a .907 SV% and a 2.95 GAA.

The Bulldogs have not announced any lineup changes, so it will be interesting to see if Alexander Avtsin will remain in the lineup or if he will be replaced.

The puck drops at 3:30 pm, and as always, you can watch it live on AHLLive ($), or listen to it here.
