Patrik Bexell has Andrew Zadarnowski join the podcast to discuss a few different things surrounding the Montreal Canadiens. First they talk about the end of the season, a game versus the Edmonton Oilers where some young players in Laval got the chance to showcase some of their skills. Then Andrew speaks about the season as a whole.
This brings up the question about Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s development. Especially seeing a fellow Finn on the opposite side of the ice in Jesse Puljujärvi and how he was rushed at first but did go back to Finland to mature and find his game. Neither think that Kotkaniemi should go back to Finland, but would he have benefitted from another year in his domestic league?
The main focus of the podcast is the Seattle Kraken expansion draft; who will, and should, Montreal expose? There are a few options to the draft and Andrew takes us through the different strategies and the pros and cons of them.
This discussion leads in to the new rivalry in the NHL, The Haro Straight Derby, between Seattle and Vancouver. Is there a chance for a football/soccer rivalry and road fans participation with the new addition to the league?
