Jared Book and Patrik Bexell get together the day after the Montreal Canadiens lost to the Ottawa Senators and before they start their last Western Canadian road trip.

The performance against the Senators was disjointed, and lacked energy. The Canadiens have regressed in every part of the game which means that optimism is at an all time low. While Brendan Gallagher’s thumb is broken, it seems the Canadiens’ heart is missing.

The team has a highly regarded leadership group, but they will need to step up in the final stretch of the season.

Jared tries his best to explain the roster situation and why they are unable to make any changes to the roster.

They also talk about Dominique Ducharme’s future, how it ties to Marc Bergevin, and about Cole Caufield’s call up to the taxi squad.

Finally, they discuss Mattias Norlinder being called up to Sweden’s preliminary camp for the upcoming World Championships later this year.
