In the latest episode of Habsent Minded, Jared Book and Anton Rasegård discuss the Montreal Canadiens’ slide in Calgary, where they lost back to back games.

While the game plan seemed to be what made them successful, they were burned by their lack of execution, both with costly mistakes, and inconsistent effort.

The players say they know what they need to do. The big question becomes, are they able to overcome their inability to do so.

They also discuss how the Canadiens lack of depth at centre may be becoming a problem. Phillip Danault may be struggling offensively, but he still plays a key role on this team and a potential injury to him could seriously jeopardize the season.

The team is not down and out yet, however. With over half of the season to go, there is plenty of time to turn it around. What happens in the next 29 games will decide the futures of many people within the organization.

Later in the episode, they turn to the recent play of two prospects with the Laval Rocket: Josh Brook and Ryan Poehling.
