Can you hear it? Those are the fairies telling us that there is a new hockey year on the rise. While the Dallas Stars and the Tampa Bay Lightning face off in a battle between the fabulous hockey states of Texas and Florida, Sweden is set to start up the SHL again.

Premiering Saturday, 14 teams will play 52 games each before being divided into different kinds of play-ins/playoffs to eventually crown one winner and, potentially, demote two relegated teams. Eyes On The Prize’s two in-house Swedes have done their homework, and preview the teams in random order.

Patrik and Anton go through a few key additions and departures, as well as looking at some breakout youngsters on certain teams. In addition, they look at which teams will fight for the title and which ones will struggle at the bottom. All in all, this is a spoken leaflet for all those who want to learn a little bit more about the 2020-21 edition of one of Europe’s finest hockey leagues.

The connection today between Sweden and Wales wasn’t the best, and we do apologize for some sound difficulties throughout the podcast. With that being said, please enjoy!
