With the first games played in the World Junior Championship, there has been a discussion about Cole Caufield and his lack of goal-scoring. We take a look at what the two games really mean, and if there can be any kind of projection of future NHL success.

We also discuss the format of the tournament. Should the tournament change after a 16-2 win for Canada, an 11-0 win for USA and a 7-1 win for Sweden? Would the blowouts really cease to exist if the format changed?

On top of that, we look into the role of Jan Myšák on the Czech team, a team with mixed success in the tournament so far. Captain Myšák has impressed, but maybe not in the way we expected before the tournament.

The same can be said for Montreal Canadiens defence prospect Kayden Guhle, who has also impressed in a different role, even if he did score the opening goal of the tournament for Canada.
