In order to prepare for the upcoming 2020 NHL Draft, we turn to Russia to see what the talk of the country is in regard to the different prospects that might be picked. While everyone knows about Yaroslav Askarov, there are quite a few interesting players behind him. Given the recent success that the Montreal Canadiens have had with Alexander Romanov, we turned to KHL expert Gillian Kemmerer, who joins the podcast to discuss some of the other Russian players on the board.

Our list of subjects includes Askarov, Rodion Amirov, Dmitri Rashevsky, Marat Khusnutdinov, and Shakir Mukhamudulin among others.

Ms. Kemmerer also speaks about SKA Saint Petersburg’s development system and the impact that COVID-19 might have on the future of Russian hockey development.
