On the latest episode of Habsent Minded, we take a look at the Montreal Canadiens’ European prospects who have just started, or are about to start, the new season. The increased pool has players for every position ranging from Denmark’s Frederik “The Gnome” Nissen Dichow in goal to offensive Finnish winger Jesse Ylönen.

The podcast starts with a look at goaltender Dichow; the areas where we will look for improvement, and what the expectation for his team are for the upcoming season. Each prospect gets the same treatment, discussing where they should be expected to develop this season, and how the off-season of a few of them might have set them up for success. There have been some noticeable adjustments in play for a few of the prospects that have been evident in their pre-season games.

All players in the European leagues are covered in this order; Frederik Nissen Dischow (G), Mattias Norlinder (D), Jacob Olofsson (C), Joni Ikonen (C),Jesse Ylönen (RW), Arsen Khisamutdinov (LW), and Alexander Romanov (D).
