Jared Book is joined by Patrik Bexell on the latest episode of Habsent Minded.

The episode starts with the breaking news that Taylor Hall was traded from the New Jersey Devils to the Arizona Coyotes. Could the Montreal Canadiens have matched that offer, and more importantly, should they have?

Next the discussion turns to Marc Bergevin’s address to the media on Monday afternoon in Vancouver. His words were familiar, and Jared in particular found comfort in those words.

Bergevin mentioned Alexander Romanov and it just happens that Patrik is in Riga, Latvia where CSKA will play. Is it really as sure of a thing as the Canadiens general manager makes it seem that he will go to North America at the end of his current contract?

They then discuss their fondest memories of the Western Canada road trip (there is one) before discussing which night and how late Patrik will have to stay up to see Lukas Vejdemo make his NHL debut (or how early he’ll have to wake up).
