For the first time ever, Eyes on the Prize will be running a mid-season Habs Top 25 Under 25, something we hope to do annually from now until forever. Usually this will run at the end of January instead of in the middle of it, but we want to avoid cluttering up our Olympic coverage.
Was P.K. Subban able to defend his crown in the mid-term edition of the Top 25 Under 25? I won't give that away, but I will tell you that all but one of the top five are cemented members of the team's official roster.
There's a couple of notable risers, and a couple of notable fallers in the middle section of our rankings, as the prospect pool starts to get a bit stronger with likely NHLers entering the conversation.
While the true excitement comes from the Top 25 Under 25, often there are players who just miss the cut that many believe are worthy of making it, so every year we look at a few of the guys who just fell short.
