Habs prospect Artturi Lehkonen is on fire
The Finnish forward is arguably Montreal's best prospect at the moment.
Artturi Lehkonen is a production machine, with five goals, three assists, and two game-winning goals in five games.
It could be argued that he almost single-handedly sank Lukas Vejdemo's Djurgården in the Swedish Hockey League's quarterfinals. Frölunda won the series four games to one.
In today's game, Lehkonen stepped forward when the game hung in the balance at 1-1, connecting on a one-time pass from Ryan Lasch.
In an interview on the ice after the game Lehkonen said: "We are on a mission! We haven't won anything yet!" When asked to describe the goal he continued with a smile that lit up the night sky over Gothenburg: "Ever since I started playing with Ryan he has said, be in that position, I’ll find you there. Now he did!" before taking off and thanking the fans.
