Habs practice notes: Carey Price to face the Hurricanes, Beaulieu a healthy scratch
Montreal’s superstar will start the game against Carolina.
The good news is, after some doubt last night, Carey Price is ready to face the Hurricanes tonight.

It was an optional practice, which means several regulars weren’t in full gear, including Max Pacioretty, Alex Radulov, Paul Byron, Shea Weber, and others.

Absents ce matin :
Weber, Radulov, Pacioretty, Byron, Nesterov, Flynn, Shaw, Petry, #CH #RDS
That’s not to say Pacioretty didn’t take advantage of the optional practice to throw some rubber at the net.

Kirk Muller ran the show, and hopefully gave instructions on how to improve their powerplay, which has been rather underwhelming of late.

With the lack of players present, we obviously did not get an update on the lines that Claude Julien will use to face the Hurricanes, but odds are they’ll be very similar to what we saw during practice yesterday.
And despite his recent move to the wing, Alex Galchenyuk was indeed busy practicing faceoffs this morning.

Both Andreas Martinsen and Michael McCarron will play tonight, according to Richard Labbé.
In other news, Nathan Beaulieu seems to be on his way to the press box, again.
