Habs lineup vs Kings: David Desharnais, Greg Pateryn out
Sven Andrighetto and Joel Hanley to make their NHL season debuts
The Montreal Canadiens held an optional skate this morning but that didn’t mean there wasn’t news about how the Habs will lineup against the Kings tonight.
Michel Therrien confirmed that David Desharnais and Greg Pateryn will be out of the lineup tonight and will be replaced by Sven Andrighetto and Joel Hanley. Both Andrighetto and Hanley will be making their season debuts in the NHL.

Phillip Danault also confirmed that he will be playing center, and it is expected he will play with Andrew Shaw and Max Pacioretty. Hanley will likely play with Nathan Beaulieu on the team’s third pairing.

This means that both Daniel Carr and Andrighetto will be in the lineup, however we don’t yet have confirmation which one will play alongside Tomas Plekanec and Brendan Gallagher. Andrighetto skated with them in practice yesterday.
The Habs will be in for a test this evening as they host one of the most successful franchises in the NHL, albeit one that is struggling this year. They are coming off a 7-0 win over Toronto on Tuesday.
