As the season approaches, the lines continue to build chemistry
The Habs hit the ice today for practice, and we saw some familiar line combinations.

The first line remains intact, as does the second trio. It’s worth noting that Artturi Lehkonen has changed his number. He will now wear #62, which is his old number from Frölunda HC. That’s a fairly big hint that Lehkonen will need to find a home in Montreal sooner than later, and it might be time for him to rent out his apartment in Sweden. As for the third line, it too was unchanged.
Paul Byron (pneumonia) and Brian Flynn (neck) are back in action, which pushes both Sven Andrighetto and Michael McCarron to the fifth line. Those two will look to impress the coaching staff as the deadline for to submit the final roster quickly approaches.
On the defensive side of things, once again Nathan Beaulieu is paired with Shea Weber.

Andrei Markov is playing alongside Greg Pateryn, and Alexei Emelin is paired with Mikhail Sergachev. Zach Redmond is rotating on various pairings.
The Canadiens also announced that Jeff Petry’s injury isn’t serious, but he will be out of action for at least a week, which will give them a good chance to properly evaluate Sergachev’s impact on the club, and whether or not he should remain with the Habs following a nine game tryout.
