Habs lines at practice: McCarron & Davidson in, Ott & Benn out
A few changes to the lineup ahead of the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Steven Stamkos and Tyler Johnson took a few line rushes together, although we shouldn’t expect them play tonight versus the Habs. It should be considered as good news for Lightning fans, seeing as they’re approaching a return, and the team desperately needs them in the roster as they attempt to clinch a playoff spot. Currently, Tampa Bay sits 9th in the conference, just one point behind the Bruins for the final wild card spot, with one game in hand.
Andrei Vasilevskiy will start tonight, former Habs netminder Peter Budaj will be his backup. Despite missing the last game with an illness, Nikita Kucherov will be in the lineup.

On the Montreal Canadiens’ side of the coin, Torrey Mitchell is sick and did not practice with his teammates, whereas Carey Price will start.
There’s some good news on the injury front, as Jordie Benn skated this morning.
Torrey Mitchell is sick, not on the ice this morning. However, Jordie Benn is skating #Habs

The only change among forward lines is the subtraction of Steve Ott, and the addition of Michael McCarron.

As for the defence, even though Benn skated, it’s unlikely he plays against Tampa Bay.

Benn ne devrait pas jouer. Et Nesterov n'affrontera pas son ancienne équipe.
