Habs lines at practice: Lehkonen out with injury, Pacioretty takes therapy day

With a few players out of rotation at practice, the Habs have new forward lines. Both Artturi Lehkonen and Max Pacioretty missed practice. Pacioretty is taking a therapy day, whereas Lehkonen is dealing with an upper-body injury.

That means Daniel Carr was practicing on the second and fourth line, whereas Philip Danault was a placeholder on the first line.

The defensive pairings remain the same, with Alex Emelin on the first pair alongside Shea Weber.

If Lehkonen is injured long term, the Canadiens will need to call up another forward. The leading candidates are Sven Andrighetto (5G, 6A) and Charles Hudon (8G, 4A), or maybe even Chris Terry (5G, 8A). It also is possible they will call up a McCarron or a de la Rose to avoid depriving St. John’s of leading contributors merely to have them languish in the Montreal press box.
