Habs lines and news: Gallagher practices, Galchenyuk back to centre
The Canadiens hit the ice ahead of their game versus the Avalanche
There was some encouraging news from practice today, as Brendan Gallagher took part in the morning skate. He was wearing a non-contact jersey, however unlike previous skates, this time he was allowed to use a blade on his stick.

As for the lines, Alex Galchenyuk was back to his most ideal position, down the middle. Interestingly, Artturi Lehkonen found himself alongside Montreal’s best centre, which could yield an interesting combination.

Pacioretty-Danault-Radulov
Lehkonen-Galchenyuk-Byron
Andrighetto-Plekanec-Shaw
Mitchell-Desharnais-Flynn
David Desharnais was relegated to the fourth line, alongside Torrey Mitchell and Brian Flynn, whereas Sven Andrighetto practiced with Tomas Plekanec and Andrew Shaw. The first line remained unchanged.
On defence, things remained the same.
