Habsent Minded: World Championships update, summer signings

In this episode of Habsent minded, Patrik Bexell and Matt Drake get together for another update on Montreal Canadiens players at the IIHF World Championships. With five Habs in action in Czechia, the tournament has given us some solid bonus hockey while the Habs are in off-season mode.

Oliver Kapanen has turned some heads with his goal scoring, but is he stat padding against weaker rosters? Juraj Slafkovsky isn’t quite scoring at the pace some expected him to, but what about his overall game as a key player for Slovakia? Kaiden Guhle is currently leading Canada’s blue line in scoring, what could this mean for him heading into next season? We take a look at each individual player, and the aspects of their games that have impressed us so far.

There are also four players, rights to whom are held by the Habs, who would be considered for contracts prior to June 1.
