Habs GameDay News - Well This Escalated Quickly
On the day the Canadiens and Senators play Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, there was some more devastating injury news for Montreal, and the temperature in both dressing rooms was raised as controversial comments were spewed in every direction.
To go along with the Lars Eller injury, it appears the Canadiens will be missing two more critical top-6 forwards for tonight's game.
Michel Therrien has yet to announce who will take their place in the lineup, but one would have to speculate that Jeff Halpern and Colby Armstrong will at least be two of the three new bodies suiting up.
Meanwhile, things got heated in both locker rooms. Following Paul Maclean's arguably disrespectful comments towards "player 61" Raphael Diaz and Eller himself, Brandon Prust had the following to say about the Senators' coach.
"He's already showed enough disrespect. We don't really care what that bug eyed fat walrus has to say."
Canadiens coach Michel Therrien was equally unpleased, saying that Maclean's comments were disrespectful to Eller's family, which was in attendance.
The Canadiens may be shorthanded, but this should all make for an incredibly heated Game 2. We'll see if the home side can pull out a much-needed win.
