GoFundMe Page Set Up For Denna Laing, Injured During Women’s Outdoor Game

Boston Pride player Denna Laing stepped on a stick, and fell hard and awkwardly into the boards at Gillette Stadium during the Women’s Winter Classic. She was taken off the ice on a stretcher wearing a neck collar, and was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital.

No details have been made available and the family has asked for privacy.

Since her injury, a GoFundMe page has been created to help with the medical bills and recovery process. If you are in the position to do so, you can donate here:

“Those who’ve been blessed with the opportunity to get to know Denna, know that she is one of the most caring, hard-working, and selfless people on this planet,” says page creator Sydney Daniels. “She always has and will continue to confront adversity with relentless grit that is unparalleled.”

Names on the donations list includes several Boston Pride teammates, Marie-Philip Poulin of Les Canadiennes and other players in the women’s hockey community from both the CWHL and NWHL.
