Last 10 games: Habs 6-4-0; Pens 4-2-4

Regular season: Canadiens lead two games to one. This will be the last regular season meeting between the two clubs.

New faces on the Pens: Certainly not an unfamiliar face to Habs fans, but this will be the first time the Canadiens face Alex Kovalev in his second go-around in Pittsburgh. Kovalev has 12 goals and 32 assists in 60 career games against Montreal. James Neal and Mat Niskanen are also new faces for Pittsburgh.

Fleury is hot: While two key players in Sidney Crosby (appears to be) and Evgeni Malkin definitely out for the season, the Penguins other stars need to step up. Marc-Andre Fleury is doing that if late between the pipes for the Penguins. Fleury is 3-0-1 in his last four starts.and broke out of a rut against Montreal in thier last meeting, a 5-2 Penguins win in Montreal.

Pose-off rubber match: Carey Price will get the start in goal for Montreal, so the two opposing goalies can break their “pose” series, which is deadlocked at one win each.

Good news: CJAD reports that Max Pacioretty is concussion-symptom free. Former Habs tough guy.

Former Habs rearguard Mathieu Schneider did an interview with HNIC’s Elliotte Friedman, that will air on Scotiabank Hockey at 6:30 EST. In an audio exceprt Schneider said the NHLPA surveyed players and they felt the game is not as dangerous.

Excellent read: Marc-Antoine Godin spoke to the Habs Mike Cammalleri
