Game 37: 2nd Period Thread
Andrew's absence has resulted in a deplorable power vacuum and threatens to plunge peaceful EOTP land into chaos. I'm unilaterally appointing myself responsible for 2nd and 3rd period threads in quite possibly the lamest strong man coup you're likely to see outside of a Woody Allen movie

Habs equal with the Jets through 20 minutes. While this lineup should be able to win out against a mid-tier Eastern club like Winnipeg, I think the lack of Tomas Plekanec is shown by how even things are compared to the puck control dominance we've been spoiled with this season. Plus the lack of Eller on the third line may have been a contributing factor to the lamebrained defensive coverage that produced Burmistrov's goal.
Speaking of Eller, notice how whenever he plays power play they tend to score? 2nd in PP points per hour for Habs last year. Maybe he should get a regular spot with the man-advantage sometime to see if he's actually good at it.
