Friday Morning Warmup – One more day

At 7PM EST on Saturday night, the Bell Centre will come alive and the puck will drop between Canada’s two most important teams.

Yes Vancouver, we know you’re the best team right now, but no one cares about you other than to make fun of you.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be in town to visit the Montreal Canadiens, who may or may not have P.K. Subban in the lineup.

Last night the Habs played an intrasquad game to over 17,000 fans at the Bell Centre. After the game, Mike Commodore had this to say:

Needless to say, it was a little electric in there.

Several chants of “Carey, Carey, Carey” went up whenever Carey Price touched the puck, although the most surprising thing of the night was the two or three times the crowd chanted for P.K. Subban, even though he wasn’t playing. Obviously, this crowd wants to see #76 back on the ice by Saturday.

When the scrimmage was over they held a shootout that ran through the entirety of both lineups. A touching moment of the shootout occurred when Francis Bouillon was announced to take the next shot and he received a standing ovation. He acknowledged the crowd and went in on net, only to be stopped by Peter Budaj.

Now that we’ve had a taste, I’m sure these 36 hours are going to crawl by. Luckily there’s afternoon hockey to watch tomorrow, in particular the Penguins take on the Flyers on RDS. However until that time, what are you going to do to make the time go by?
