Conference Call on Heritage Classic and Injury updates

Mike Cammalleri and James Wisniewski participated in a conference call today to promote to the Heritage Classic in Calgary this upcoming weekend. You can listen to the conference call in its entirety at the Montreal Gazette’s Montreal Canadiens blog; Habs Inside/Out.

Cammalleri practiced with the team today for the first time, although he wasn’t able to take contact. Cammalleri is trying his best to be ready to return by the Heritage Classic, but under a week away it seems to be an unlikely scenario.

Max Pacioretty and Mathieu Darche said today that they were ready to return to the lineup tomorrow in Buffalo. Darche missed two games with an undisclosed lower body injury, while Pacioretty was removed from the game against the Maple Leafs on Saturday night after a hard check from Luke Schenn for precautionary reasons. Hal Gill is still out of the lineup with an undisclosed upper body injury. He skated on his own today on the second ice surface at the practice facility in Brossard.

Update: Also take a look at a time lapse of the building of the ice rink in McMahon Stadium for the Heritage Classic.
