Report: Charles Hudon was not selected by Vegas Golden Knights
The Habs prospect may be sticking around, despite predictions that the Golden Knights would come calling
According to a report by Roby St-Gelais of the Journal de Quebec, the Vegas Golden Knights did not select forward Charles Hudon when they submitted their expansion picks this morning.

It had been predicted by many members of the media that Hudon would be the Golden Knights draft choice from the Canadiens, though St-Gelais suggests that Hudon will remain with the Habs after tonight’s reveal.
That begs the question of who George McPhee and his team did select from the Canadiens, with the most likely scenario being one of Brandon Davidson or Alexei Emelin on the blue-line, or veteran centre Tomas Plekanec.
With reports that Vegas is adding David Perron and Cody Eakin, in addition to Vadim Shipachyov, and the fact that Hudon would require waivers, you could see why the Golden Knights would be leaning for a defenceman rather than a player with four career NHL games.
Plekanec, or Emelin would presumably be assets on one-year contracts that Vegas could flip for draft picks or prospects later in the off-season or at the trade deadline.
