1. Charles Hudon
The Baie-Comeau Drakkar’s latest scoring star Charles Hudon continues to score at an impressive clip since joining his new club. Hudon would begin the week with a two goal effort to help Baie-Comeau rout Sherbrooke Phoenix 6-1. In his first game facing his former club the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, he would become the key contributor in their defeat as he would mark two assists and the eventual game-winning goal allowed Baie-Comeau to edge Chicoutimi 5-4. Hudon currently leads Baie-Comeau in scoring with 20 goals and 34 assists and he also marked his 250th career point in the QMJHL this past week. Charles Hudon was drafted in the 5th round, 122nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Draft.
While he has generally gone through a quiet, if not questionable season with Frolunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League, Sebastian Collberg emerged to make a notable contribution this past week. After going pointless in a 4-1 win for Frolunda over HV 71, Collberg would score a goal and assist in a 5-3 victory for Frolunda over Linkopings HC. Collberg would go pointless in his following game, a 2-1 victory over Växjö Lakers HC. Sebastian Collberg was drafted in the 2nd round, 33rd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Draft.
3. Tim Bozon
After a notable lag in the 1st half of his season, Kootenay Ice winger Tim Bozon has found his scoring touch in the New Year. After going without a point in a 6-2 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers, Bozon would pick up a goal as Kootenay would take a 4-1 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders. he would double his production in the following game, scoring two goals as Kootenay would defeat the Calgary Hitmen 5-2. Tim Bozon was drafted in the 3rd round, 64th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Draft.
