Canadiens vs. Wild: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

Montreal Canadiens vs. Minnesota Wild

How to watch

Elsewhere: NHL.tv/Rogers NHL Live

Early on in 2019, the Canadiens have shown two very different sides to their game. Now heading into their third, the Habs are looking to regain the form that allowed them to be one of the better teams in the NHL in December.

Against the Minnesota Wild, they face a team that has had some consistency issues, but also shown resilience and the ability to win in a tough Central Division. They’re in a similar position to Montreal, as the jockeying for wild-card spots continues. Minnesota sits two points back of Anaheim for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

The last time the Canadiens faced the Wild, it was an ugly 7-1 affair that the Canadiens will hope to put far behind them considering the position they’re currently in. A bounce-back effort following the loss to the Nashville Predators is in order, as well, so there’s plenty of reason for the Habs to be ready for tonight’s contest.

Carey Price is back in goal tonight, and with the news that he will not be participating in this year’s All-Star Game, it’ll be interesting to see how the Habs deploy him after tonight with a lengthy recovery period approaching before the post-season.
