Canadiens vs. Sharks Game Thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

After a three-day break, the Canadiens play host to the Sharks, who they lost 2-1 to a few weeks ago.

Even with a loss to the Bruins a few nights ago, the Canadiens offence is still clicking at a high rate following the loss of Alex Galchenyuk and David Desharnais. Scoring 16 goals in 3 games is still impressive, even though the Bruins limited them to only one goal.

This will be the first of back to back games for the Canadiens, as they play in Washington tomorrow night. Carey Price gets the start tonight, as he keeps searching for his 250th career win. Michael McCarron hasn’t been confirmed in the lineup tonight, but he was practicing on fourth line alongside Daniel Carr and Brian Flynn.

For the Sharks, they’re currently riding a 3 game win streak, including a chippy affair against the Senators two nights ago. A vicious crosscheck by Mike Hoffman to the back of Logan Couture’s head took the skilled centre out of the game, but he seems to be no worse for wear, as he’s slotted in San Jose’s line up tonight. Brett Burns is hot right now, as he currently leads all NHL defencemen in goals with 13 and seems to be one of the top candidates for the Norris Trophy this season. Timo Meier will also make his NHL debut tonight for the Sharks. Drafted 9th overall in 2015, he should be interesting to watch.

Update: Andrew Shaw will miss tonight’s game due to a concussion.
