Pre-game thoughts:
Training camp is officially over tonight. It’s the final game of the preseason and the roster still hasn’t been finalized. All your hard work comes down to this game. No pressure fellas.
First Period:
- And we’re off!
- Sens scored four minutes in but I’m gonna need a replay on that
- Connecting the dots…Sens behind the net, a giveaway by Chaput, Pyatt elevates the rebound over Price’s shoulder. I think.
- Benn and Petry are getting in on the game. Not defending, mind you. Shooting. From the blue line
- Price with a little get outta my house shove to Tkachuk
- Habs finally create some excitement around Anderson but he panics and jumps on the puck
- There’s a group conversation going on in the corner. I wonder what they’re talking about
- Might have something to do with Juulsen crosschecking McCormick
- Byron draws a tripping penalty. Power play time!
- Petry is determined to get a goal from the blue line tonight/
Second period:
- I know it’s preseason, but let’s have a little more excitement this period. Whaddya say?
- Bergevin attempting a sneaky nose pick… oh, hello camera man
- Petry gave up on shooting from the blue line and went to say hi to Tkachuk instead/

- This may have peeved Tkachuk off as he picks up the assist on Duchene’s goal
- Habs head to the penalty kill again as Despres takes a seat in the box for hooking
- Bobby Ryan makes it 3-0
- This is not really the kind of excitement I had in mind/
Third period:
- I did mention this is your last chance to make the final cut, didn’t I?
- Niemi takes over net duties. Don’t worry Price, I think you’re safe
- Audette with the best shot of the night so far but off the crossbar goes the puck
- Fists start flying at center ice as Chaput and McCormick go head-to-head
- You know what preseason means don’t you? Nothing.
- Let the regular season… begin! /
