Canadiens vs. Red Wings Game Thread, lines, rosters, and how to watch

It’s been an up and down week for the Canadiens, as they’ve been looking to get back on track. A 7-1 loss to Minnesota was followed up by a strong statement win against the New York Rangers, and today’s matchup gives the Habs good opportunity to get momentum back in their favour.

The Habs currently sit third in the Eastern Conference standings, and are slowly returning to health after being decimated by injuries to key players. Alex Galchenyuk had a goal in his return, and looked as if he didn’t miss a game. Max Pacioretty remained hot against the Rangers as well, potting his 20th goal of the season as well as adding an assist.

Meanwhile, the Wings are on the other side of the spectrum, currently sitting third last in the Eastern Conference with 42 points. Ex-Hab Tomas Vanek is second in team scoring with 29 points, and is always dangerous with the puck. Jared Coreau will most likely start for the Wings this afternoon, he has a 4-1-1 record, .903 save percentage and 3.12 GAA.
