Canadiens vs. Red Wings: Game thread, lines, rosters and how to watch

Tank nation makes one of its final stops of the year in Detroit.

There isn’t much left to be said for the Montreal Canadiens season. They’re down to their final two games, and have almost all but locked up a top five pick in the NHL draft. They can no longer clinch the best chance at drafting first, that dubious honour belongs to the Buffalo Sabres.

They can however still help their chances of landing in the top three depending on their result against the Red Wings tonight.

In the last clash between these two teams a pair of goals by Brendan Gallagher and a great showing by a returning Carey Price led the Habs to a 4-2 victory at the Bell Centre. Things haven’t changed too much since that meeting, Detroit still is struggling and the Canadiens penalty kill continues to let down their goaltenders when it counts.

Don’t expect a classic between two teams that are beat up, and likely looking forward to their off-season.

Puck Drop is at 7:30 PM EST / 4:30 PM PST
