Canadiens vs Rangers - Second Period Thread

The Canadiens just played a good road period... at home. I'll take it.

SCORING SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

00:47 MTL M. RYDER (13) WRIST - ASST: P. SUBBAN (15) 1 - 0 MTL

18:11 MTL T. PLEKANEC (13) SLAP - ASST: P. SUBBAN (16) AND A. MARKOV (17) 2 - 0 MTL

PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

16:00 MTL P.K. SUBBAN : INTERFERENCE - 2 MIN (DEREK STEPAN)

The Canadiens were pretty heavily outpossessed in the first period by the Rangers, yet they're up 2-0.

Carey Price has been pretty sensational, including some stellar saves on the still not-so-great penalty kill after Subban was given a penalty for existing near someone who's falling. But that's how it goes with PHYSICS.

Michael Ryder scored his 13th of the season assisted by P.K. Subban, taking over the team lead from Tomas Plekanec.

Then Plekanec decided it was time to tie that up and score his 13th, also assisted by Subban. Hopefully the Habs can avoid their routine second period let down.
