Canadiens vs. Oilers: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Montréal Canadiens don’t have much time to dwell on the loss in their last game, as the Edmonton Oilers were already in town waiting to play on Sunday before that game even got under way.

They might be without Phillip Danault, who left the third period on Saturday with an apparent upper-body injury. He is likely to be a game-time decision, and if he is unable to play, David Desharnais will likely take his place into the lineup. This could be a good opportunity to put Alex Galchenyuk on the top line, to see if he could get going offensively.

This will be the first time that the Canadiens face Connor McDavid and the Oilers this season. The Oilers are coming into the game with a three-game losing streak, so the Habs should be ready for a high-flying team with plenty of energy to come at them. The Canadiens’ key to victory will be to apply continuous pressure in the Oilers zone, preventing the opposing attack from having the puck for too long.

Puck drop is at 1:00 PM EST / 10:00 AM PST
