Canadiens vs. Hurricanes: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Montreal Canadiens are continuing on with their uneven season as they play the Carolina Hurricanes in their first game back from the holiday break. The Canadiens last game was a disastrous one against the Edmonton Oilers. They are looking to get back into the win column tonight.

They will be doing so with Shea Weber who is still nursing a broken foot and David Schlemko is out with illness. Al Montoya and Ales Hemsky are also still out with a concussion as well. Outside of that, the Habs are fairly healthy. However, Claude Julien mentioned that the final lineup is up in the air as a flu bug is going around the locker room.

Their last game was a thorough 4-1 loss to the Oilers where Connor McDavid was dominant. Antti Niemi was the goalie that night, but expect Carey Price to be in net tonight. As for Carolina, they do not have a consistent starting goalie and much like previous seasons they are struggling to score and saves while outplaying the opposition.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST
