Pre-game

  • The Habs pull out yet another emergency recall just hours ahead of tonight’s game. Enjoy your NHL debut Lucas Condotta!
  • Tread lightly, though. The Bruins can be a little… Bruin-y.
  • Well ladies and gentlemen… you, me and Nick Suzuki made it to the final game of the season!

First period

  • Habs are the first to the power play less than two minutes in with the dumbest penalty (puck over glass). Starting to lose your touch, hey Boston?
  • Matheson ends up in the Bruins net. That’s gotta count for like, three goals, right?
  • At least he didn’t touch Swayman as he glided past. Pretty sure that would have ended in murder.
  • First shift, first shot, and Condotta opens the scoring!! This NHL thing isn’t so hard, hey Lucas?
  • A tap-in in front of Monty by Frederic and we’re all tied up.
  • Barron heads to the box for tripping Marchand. Don’t feel bad, Justin. We’d all do it if we had the opportunity.
  • Bergeron looks beat to a snot on the bench. Dude. You’re basically playing an AHL team. How are you going to make it in the playoffs?
  • DeBrusk with a sharp-angle shot and the Bruins take the lead.
  • We’re getting two penalties on one play? All in on the tank for the final game, I see.
  • Killed the 5-on-3 with ease. *See comment #1.

Second period

  • Starting the period on the power play. We seemed to have figured out this penalty kill thing, we have 40 minutes to figure out the power play.
  • Pastrnak thought he could just go all in by himself but Monty’s post had other ideas.
  • Matheson heads down the tunnel. One game left. One more injured player to close out the season.
  • Bergeron is also gone with upper-body (precautionary). Or is it really because our AHL team intimidates him?
  • Suzuki ties it up! With the Bruins AND Caufield’s goals. Can he get another one to take the lead… against the Bruins and in goals?
  • Swayman races Pitlick to the corner to grab the puck, Pitlick wins, passes to Pezzetta (for no reason except to be a good teammate since he was literally in front of an empty net), jumps over the puck as Pezz shoots, and we’re up 3-2!
  • Did you just get served, Boston? You did. You just got served by a ridiculously fun play.
  • Orlov goes top corner and we’re all tied up.

Third period

  • Barron let’s it rip with a shorty and we’re back in the lead!
  • Remind me again… this is the absolute top team in the league that we’re playing, right?
  • Coyle fools Wideman, goes top shelf on Monty and levels it up.
  • Edmundson is taking on Greer because…? There’s 10 minutes left to the season dude.
  • Pastrnak takes the lead. Pretty sure we can call it a season now.
  • Seriously? We’re starting a pile up on Gallagher with four minutes left?
  • Which brings us to a little 4-on-4 action.
  • Well, that’s all folks! It’s been a … season. May next season bring fun, wins, and waaaaay less injuries!
  • And not 372 Habs players flood the ice to hand out their jerseys.

EOTP 3 Stars

3) At least it’s a short drive

2) That’s a wrap. A surprisingly fun season considering how it ended up

1) I’m glad we were able to meet back up here.
