Canadiens vs. Blackhawks: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

Montreal goes for a fifth win in seven games tonight.

The Montreal Canadiens did something last night that they hadn’t been doing at the first of the year: found a way to overcome some adversity.

Despite controlling the play, Montreal was down 4-2 to the Winnipeg Jets in the third period. Rather than fold, they continued to press on offence, and eventually came away with a 5-4 overtime win.

A team that couldn’t win for losing to start the season has been earning more Ws than Ls in recent games, and that’s in large part due to a change in the team’s offensive fortunes.

Last night’s breakout player was Andrew Shaw, and he would be very happy to keep the hot hand versus his former team tonight.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST
