Canadiens vs. Blackhawks: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Habs look to get back into the win column after a tough weekend.

The Montreal Canadiens are looking to bounce back after two games this weekend where they struggled to score goals. The solution to this goal-scoring drought might come in a turn of luck, but it could also come from the defence getting more involved in the play offensively.

The Blackhawks played last night in Toronto where the Leafs had a comeback win. This means that while the Hawks might be tired, they could also be angry and want to take it out on the Habs.

Based on Claude Julien’s comments this morning, he wants the team to start creating their own luck by getting to the net. He doesn’t mean just bodies to the net, but to cut inside rather than outside once in the zone. Putting themselves in better scoring positions and making life harder for the goaltender are two ways the Canadiens can put luck into their own hands.

The only lineup change from Sunday is that Ales Hemsky will return to the Habs fourth line. Jacob de la Rose will sit.

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EDT / 4:30 PM PDT
