Max Pacioretty scores a shorthanded goal

What's better than one first period goal?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

How about another goal for a team with a drought in that category? The Habs needed to get to Bishop quickly, and that's exactly what they did. They're finally starting to capitalize on scoring chances.

First it was Markov and Subban that combined for a great goal, this time it was Max Pacioretty taking advantage of a shorthanded chance, by beating Ben Bishop low. Bishop has looked shaky since the beginning of the game, and this shorthanded goal against surely won't help his case.

This is exactly the type of start the Habs need, and now that they're up 2 they can't let off the gas. You could add any number of cliches here, but the fact of the matter is that they have to go for the jugular for the rest of the series.

It was Pacioretty's fourth goal of the playoffs. Partly due to his great speed, but also due to some shoddy defensive coverage from the Lightning.
