NHL Playoffs 2014: Blackhawks, Blues, Penguins, Blue Jackets, Avalanche, Wild open thread

The Habs aren't playing, but that doesn't mean you can't have some game thread fun on EOTP.

Chicago Blackhawks vs St. Louis Blues

An ugly series of dirty plays by the Blackhawks have distracted from a fantastic comeback, but we've got overtime in St. Louis once more.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Columbus Blue Jackets (7:00pm EST on CBC)

After taking an unexpected 3-1 lead in game one, the Blue Jackets couldn't sustain it and ended up falling 4-3 to the heavily favoured Pittsburgh Penguins. In spite of being a fairly poor possession team for most of the season, the Penguins held the edge in game one with a 57.3% Fenwick while the score was close, something the Blue Jackets will be hoping to change today. The Jackets are still without a playoff win in their history, with an 0-5 record.

Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesota Wild (9:30pm EST on TSN)

Down 4-3 in the third period, Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy pulled his goaltender with almost four minutes remaining in the third period, and like he's done so many times this season, pulled a rabbit out of his hat. Paul Stastny scored the tying goal, and the winner in the ensuing overtime. I'm sure the Avs would rather not tempt fate like that again though.
