Canadiens lineup vs Panthers: Mete with Benn, Galchenyuk with Holland and Scherbak
With two pre-season games left, there still some opportunities for players on the bubble
Before the Montreal Canadiens took to the ice for their morning skate, two players recovering from injuries skated by themselves, David Schlemko and Charlie Lindgren.
It’s becoming doubtful that Schlemko will play any games in the preseason, however Lindgren will get the start tonight and is 100% health-wise according Claude Julien.
#Habs David Schlemko traverse sur la patinoire secondaire. Visiblement, va encore patiner en solo ce matin

The Hudon/Plekanec/Lehkonen line will get another tune-up tonight. It has been performing well. Charles Hudon is all but assured to start the season with the Montreal Canadiens.

Hudon - Plekanec - Lehkonen
Byron - Danault - Shaw
Galchenyuk - Holland - Scherbak
Martinsen - Froese - McCarron
Alex Galchenyuk playing with Peter Holland and Nikita Scherbak, freshly recalled from the Laval Rocket, is interesting given that Paul Byron has taken his place.
Julien seems to be trying different things to see who has natural chemistry.
The battle for the fourth centre spot continues, and playing with two skilled wingers is a good test for Peter Holland.
On defence, Victor Mete will play without Shea Weber, as the Canadiens try and see what he is capable of.
Julien indique que Mete pourrait jouer des deux côté ce soir.

Zach Fucale will back up Lindgren. Whether Lindgren plays the whole game will be an in-game decision.
