Canadiens lineup vs Devils: Petry, Galchenyuk, Price set for second pre-season games

The Montreal Canadiens lineup that will face off against the Devils is unsurprisingly similar to the one that faced off against the Boston Bruins in Quebec City but there are some changes.

It will be the second games for some key members of the Canadiens, including Jeff Petry and the expected second line of Alex Galchenyuk, Phillip Danault, and Brendan Gallagher.

It is another chance to impress for some players on the bubble, including defencemen Jakub Jerabek, Brett Lernout, Joe Morrow, and Eric Gelinas as well as forwards Daniel Carr, Jacob de la Rose, Nikita Scherbak and Michael McCarron.

Jerabek, Carr, and Scherbak played yesterday against the Capitals, as did Andreas Martinsen.

Carey Price will get his second straight start for the Canadiens, with Zach Fucale backing him up.

Noah Juulsen and Andrew Shaw, who played in Quebec City, but have not practiced since, are still out of the lineup.

One night after facing Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov, the Habs will host first-overall pick Nico Hischier and Taylor Hall. Former Capital Marcus Johansson is also in the lineup.

In other injury news, David Schlemko and Chris Terry skated together before the Habs morning skate. It could mean that both could be nearing a return.
