Canadiens lines at practice: Galchenyuk, Petry to play Thursday
The Habs are almost back to full health at practice today
The Montreal Canadiens received some more good news on the injury front. After David Desharnais, Andrei Markov, and Greg Pateryn returned in the team’s win over the Buffalo Sabres, Alex Galchenyuk and Jeff Petry returned to practice on Wednesday.

Pacioretty - Danault - Radulov
DD - Galchenyuk - Shaw
Lehkonen - Plekanec - Byron
JDLR/Andrighetto - Mitchell - Flynn
Michel Therrien kept the top line in place after their great performance yesterday, which means that the second line becomes David Desharnais with Alex Galchenyuk and Andrew Shaw. We can expect that line to get chances in the offensive zone.
Therrien first said that Galchenyuk was out until the weekend but said yesterday he is a possibility for Thursday’s game in Philadelphia.
UPDATE: Galchenyuk and Petry said they will play Thursday
Alex Galchenyuk says he is back in the lineup tomorrow night in Philly.

Interestingly, Jacob de la Rose moved into the fourth line ahead of both Sven Andrighetto and ahead of Daniel Carr, who played last night.
Notably, neither Carr nor de la Rose would need waivers to go back to St. John’s.

Emelin - Weber
Beaulieu - Petry
Markov - Nesterov
Pateryn
Price
Montoya
On D, the same pairings we have been accustomed to, but Markov and Nesterov will stay together on the third pairing with Greg Pateryn as the extra defenceman.
We can likely expect some movement as the healthy bodies continue to return, meaning the IceCaps could get some reinforcements shortly, and we may see some names on the waiver wire.
