It’s a makeshift defence that the Tampa Bay Lightning have put together with injuries to several regulars, but that hasn’t stopped them from winning games. They enter this afternoon’s game versus the Montreal Canadiens on a three-game winning streak, most recently winning a feisty affair with the Florida Panthers yesterday.
The Canadiens haven’t been doing badly themselves, claiming points in seven of the eight games since the last meeting with the Lightning. They clearly need to change their tactics from the way they played in that 6-1 loss to the Lightning about three weeks ago, but that should be motivation for a strong game in their first action since the break.
