Canadiens at Senators: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch
The Habs look to make it three wins in four games in the Nation’s capital
The Montreal Canadiens begin their longest road trip of the season thus far with a tilt against their Atlantic Division rival, the Ottawa Senators tonight in a game at the Canadian Tire Centre.
The game will be the first of four meetings between the two clubs this season, and if season's past dictate anything, the games will be heated with a lot of animosity between them. The Canadiens (3-7-1) are coming off a 5-4 victory over the New York Rangers Saturday evening, in a game which saw forward Phillip Danault attain a career-high with four points (two goals and two assists).
Goaltender Carey Price who has started all but one game this season will get a night off, paving the way for backup Al Montoya to get the nod in goal. His only other start was October 18, conceding five goals on 42 shots in a game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The Senators (5-1-5) are a team playing with a huge boost with the return of captain Erik Karlsson to the lineup after he missed the first five games of the season recovering from surgery to repairs tendons in his left foot. The all-star defenseman has nine assists in six games this season.
