The Flyers have brought adjustments to the fourth game and will dress Ian Lapierriere and Jeff Carter. Sitting will be Daniel Carcillo and Andreas Nodl.
No changes to the lineup as et have been anounced by Habs coach Jacques Martin.
It will undoubtable feel a little strange watching a playoff game on a Saturday afternoon in May. I’ll try to keep things fresh in the posting for a few reads between whistles and periods. Keep checking in.
I’m loving what the Dominic Moore, Maxim Lapierre, Tom Pyatt line are accomplishing in each round of these playoffs.They are making a big difference in many games.

“My family on my mother’s side were all Canadiens fans” says Moore, who grew up in Toronto. “My brothers and I were steered to being Canadiens fans as well, but I got behind the Maple Leafs the day they acquired Doug Gilmour.”
When he was 10 years old, his mother insisted that he be sent to a french immersion school. The experience lasted ten years, and it wasn’t always easy.
“I wasn’t too happy about it at the time, but my mother said I would have to know french because one day I would wear the Canadiens jersey and I would need to speak it.”

He doesn’t have the shooting skill of a Mike Cammalleri, or stick handling ability of a Brian Gionta, but he does bring the aspects of a solid third line player. His exceptional speed, ability to deliver a hit and occasional scoring touch (15 goals in 2008-09) is often overlooked by his best talent, chirping the crap out of the opposition. In this year’s playoffs, he’s brought all of that to the table.
“I’m trying to get out of my shell,” Pyatt said. ” I’m always concentrating on defence, but I want to develop that offensive game a bit more. In every league I’ve played in, it’s been a slow process, but I’m always getting better.”
Cammy in the clutch!
Mike Cammalleri leads the playoff goal scoring parade with 13, and there is a very good chance he will not be caught. The closest currently active players to him are Joe Pavelski and Daniel Briere with 9 each, followed by the Habs Brian Gionta with eight. Four Blackhawks follow with seven. With the Sharks down 0-3 in their series it is very unlikely Pavelski will narrow the margin and it will be tough, but not entirely impossible for either of Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp and Dustin Byfuglien to net six or more before the Stanley Cup is awarded.
Trade deadline…the playoff effect
Of the three dozen players moved at this year’s trade deadline, how many have made an impact in the playoffs?
Matt Cullen, acquired by Ottawa from Carolina gave the Senators three goals and five assists in six games before they were eliminated. Ilya Kovalchuk, who cost the Devils a bundle, counted two goals and four assist in five games with New Jersey. The Canadiens’ Dominic Moore, with four goals and one assist is actually the highest goalscorer of all trade deadline acquisitions in this playoff. His five points currently rank him 93rd in the playoff scoring race.
The playoff Calder
With three assists in Thursday’s game, P.K. Subban now has 1-6-7 totals in 12 playoff games. He’s four behind the Flyers‘ Ville Leino in rookie points for the 2010 post-season. Regardless of where Subban finishes, call it a great head start in the 2010-11 Calder Trophy race.
Jamie Benn in the AHL….wtf!
This is a bit of a rip. The Texas Stars have tied their series with the Hamilton Bulldogs at two games each with a 2-1 overtime win Friday night. Both Stars’ goals were scored by full time NHLer Jamie Benn, who played all 82 gams with Dallas this season. It begs the question, how can an NHL team be allowed to send a player back to the AHL team he hasn’t played a game for all season? Benn, who now has 13 goals and 19 points in 15 games with Texas, had never played a game with the Stars’ AHL affiliate until this playoff.
