With a critical win in the first rivalry game on Saturday, Finland stayed alive in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Today, they have a chance to make it all the way to the final if they can beat Canada in regulation.

That is the same situation facing the Canadians, no longer the hosts but the visitors as the scene has shifted to Boston’s TD Garden for the final portion of the schedule. They will no longer have the home crowd to lean on for energy, but perhaps that’s not a bad thing for them because in each of the first two games their offence went cold as the game went on and the pressure mounted. There will be a chance to play a bit looser in this critical game as they try to make the final.

Finland is plenty capable to locking down Canada’s star players once again, and they want to prove they have that ability after a collapse in the third period of their game versus Team USA.
