Best Wishes For Jean Beliveau

I cannot possibly put into one sentence what Jean Beliveau means to me as a hockey fan. The list of adjectives describing his good human qualities would run the length of the page.

Jean was hospitalized on Wednesday night following a stroke and is in stable condition in Montreal’s General Hospital. The latest update has it that Jean has not spoken since being admitted but is otherwise doing well.

Dave Stubbs of HIO had a suggestion for Habs P.A. man Michel Lacroix this coming Saturday:

(A note to the Habs: Saturday, early in the game, say the first whistle, P.A. announcer Michel Lacroix should wish Jean a speedy and full get-well, and the fans in the arena should lift the roof of the Bell Centre. I mean, LIFT it!)I’ll be joining the chorus of fans doing the same from home!

Get well soon Jean!
