Andrew Shaw was helped off the ice after a collision with Greg Pateryn

In the third period of Tuesday’s game versus the Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw lined Greg Pateryn up for a hit, but his head made contact with Pateryn’s helmet as the two were headed in opposite directions.

After the play, Pateryn attempts to get some retribution, hitting Shaw in the head despite it looking as though Shaw was knocked out by the initial contact.

Shaw had to be helped to the bench, essentially carried to the dressing room as he clearly wasn’t able to walk under his own power.
