The Laval Rocket announced a pair of new signings, just a week after they announced the re-signing of veteran Kevin Lynch to a one-year contract. Tuesday the club inked a pair of 23 year old players in Pascal Aquin and Tobie Bisson to AHL contracts for the 2020-2021 season.
The Rocket has agreed to terms on one-year, two-way AHL contracts (2020-21) with forward Pascal Aquin and defenseman Tobie Bisson.

Both players have spent the majority of their professional careers in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Aquin had a handful of games with the Rochester Americans this past season.
Aquin is a 6’ 2” left wing with some physical upside that is reflected in his higher penalty minute totals, but in the ECHL has shown the ability to chip in on the scoresheet a decent amount when called upon.
Tobie Bisson comes in at 6’3” and has shown to be a decent producer from the blue line for the Cyclones with 22 points in 62 games last year. He’s also quite familiar with Joel Bouchard and Daniel Jacobs, having spent parts of two seasons in Blainville-Boisbriand with them, and was also teammates with Alexandre Alain and Joel Teasdale.
The signing of this duo brings Laval’s AHL contract number up to nine, providing a decent list of players to plug in if injuries or anything else should impact the regular lineup during the season.
The contracts are two-way deals, allowing the players to be sent to the ECHL.
